NATIONAL NEWS

The inaugural ceremony of the 33rd General President, Bro. Darryl Matthews was held January 7-8, 2005 in Atlanta Georgia. It was attended by Brothers from all over the various regions. Workshops included were Alpha style and etiquette and How to handle the media. The celebration ended with a formal reception and a live band.

Effective January 5, 2005, the national insurance premium has increased for our fraternity from $350 to $700. This is because of hazing incidents. Chapters who have paid the insurance prior to January 1 are grandfathered and do not have to pay the increased amount. We were fortunate not to be dropped altogether. Unfortunately, another NPHC organization cannot say the same.
