  • Friday, March 12 is Delta Chi Lambda's monthly chapter meeting. We will have an abbreviated meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Immediately after the meeting, we will have fish fry and poker night. Bro. Capt James Turner is chairing this event. He is asking for volunteers to bring salads, hot sauce, desserts, drinks (alcoholic and non), 2 or 3 coolers of ice, paper plates, cups, plastic forks, plastic spoons, plastic knives, cards, dominos, and music(optional). James can be reached at phreez-pop@juno.com or at 912-604-3985 (c), 417-371-0549 (h) or 414-297-1521 (w). Please respond directly to him. All Brothers are always welcome.
  • Thank you to Bro. Rodney Jackson for chairing our first Frat Friday at Mixers Nightclub last Friday. We are doing it once again on Friday, March 19. Please mark your calendars.
  • Finally, Voteless People is a Hopeless People Committee of Delta Chi Lambda chapter along with 311 Restaurant is hosting Meet and Greet the Candidates Forum 2004 on Friday, March 26 from 5-9 p.m. All candidates who have advanced to the general election in April have been invited. Governor Doyle has also been asked to attend. This event is free and open to the public.
  • I have priced some charter bus companies for our trip to Toledo. So far, Lamers has the best price. On April 15 at 5:00 p.m., we will start in Madison, stop in Milwaukee and take us to Toledo for a total of $2,778.50 ($2,550 plus $228.50 (driver's room for two nights including tax). We would leave Toledo at 12 Noon and return to Milwaukee at 6 p.m., continuing on to Madison. Cost per brother depends on how many sign up and pay. Here are guesstimates: 20 Bruhs - $138.93, 30 Bruhs - $92.62, 35 Bruhs - $79.39 and 47 Bruhs (capacity) - $59.12. The bus has reclining seats, bathroom, VCR, and audio system. Northwest Airlines has a roundtrip ticket from Milwaukee to Detroit for $194. You would need to rent a car from Detroit to Toledo (75 miles). From an economical and convenience standpoint, this is a great deal.
  • The Centennial Convention for our beloved Fraternity will be held in Detroit (regionally) and Washington D.C. (nationally). We are also organizing a pilgrimage to Cornel University on December 4, 2006. Mark your calendars.
